Dose Macro Cosmos negate the effect of Darklord Zerato?

Upon looking at the effect of Darklord Zerato I have reicently discovered that to activate it's monster destruction effect, you must send a dark monster to the graveyard as appose to discarding it. This has made me wonder if Macro cosmos would negate that ability as it removes cards from the game instead of letting them hit the grave, which means as long as it's on the field, you basically can't send any card to the graveyard(as it would be removed before it hits the grave.). To me it would seam like this would negate the effect, however, if anybody knows the official ruling, I would like to know.

  1. in my opinion, it shouldn't activate because the monster had to be sent to the graveyard, kinda like sangan, but thats my opinion, i dont know for sure.

  2. Yes Macro Cosmo does remove all cards send to the graveyard (Destroyed, Tributed, Discarded, sent from deck to graveyard, activated, etc..). Therefore the monster sent tothe graveyard using Darklord Zerato's effect, is removed from play.
