  1. The Autotrain runs from Lorton VA  (south of DC) to Stanford  FL (near Orlando).  You could drive to Lorton and take the train from there.

The actual locations of 'Car Trains' depots are Woodbridge, Virginia and Sanford, Florida.  It can be found at www.amtrak.com/carftrain.  Beware, it is quite expensive!  You buy the ticket for your car and one for yourself.  I looked into this as an excursion from FL to VA and backed out because of the cost.
