dose a dynamo with out cogs course any slight unseen friction from the magnet passing fro the coil of wire? i mean even the very slightest friction.

  1. There will always be friction on the bearings of the spindle of the rotating magnet/coil. You then have the air friction of the rotating armature. Finally there is a back emf which resists the movement of the coil contributing to the efficiency losses.

  3. No, there is no friction component in a magnetic field.
