  1. you need insurance

at the moment no licence is required

if you use it in a harbour you may have to pay harbour dues

many places do not allow launching of jet skis & PWC  mainly because they are noisy and tend to ride up and down too fast beaches where poeple are swimming.

  2. No licences are required for jetski's (or boats for that matter) and neither is any tax payable.  You will however require permission from, and probably pay, the owner of the launching site (beach, slipway, club etc).  I would however suggest that you take some sort of training, the RYA offer courses around the country through their authorised Training centres.  Insurance whilst not a legal requirement is surely a must for any responsible user, if not for your own sake but for others, and will be asked fro by most launching sites.  Remember Jetski's have a poor reputation, whether deserved or not, because many users show no respect or common sense when using them or take no training so if you can show a possitive attitude it can only help.  Lastly, buy one they are great fun, if not as good as powerboat!!!

  3. i think its a license but it might be different in the uk

  4. They are a bit of a blank spot, there is no legal requirements but insurance is best as if you hit anything you can pay the damages and replace your jet-ski. if you are using it in a harbour then its best to talk to the harbour office and ask what they are looking for as they are all different.
