  1. Easy answer is that flowering plants produce seed. Plants that don't produce flowers, like ferns, reproduce through spores.


  2. Plants have seeds.

    Mushrooms have spores.

  3. Daisies have seeds not spores.

    The daisy seeds come from the yellow center like the seeds of Sunflowers. When the petals drop off and the yellow disc center turns burnt looking black or brown you can brush the seeds out and get little silver and green striped seeds.

    Spores come from ferns and mushrooms.

    Spores unlike seeds are not from the flower but from leaves(the brown spots on fern leaves) and the underside of  mushrooms.

    A spore is only genetic material while seeds are actually miniature plants encased in a shell waiting for the conditions to become correct for the start of growth.
