  1. mashin the gas from a dead stop eats more than just gas, you are forcing more wear on the whole driveline(torque converter/clutch-u-joints-tires-transmis... rings) the whole nine yards. smashin the brakes for a dramatic stop does the same thing...just add brakes

  2. The ess pushing on the foot pedl. the more gas everyone saves when driving.  Thats a no brainer for Drivers.

The more you brake and then step on the gas again, the more waste on gas also.

keep some distance, and if you see a red light a ways ahead, just take you foot off the gas. Why keep you speed and then have to slam on the brakes?  Might save your brakes a while also. less costs in your pockets.

  3. Yo, kevin, learn how to spell, will ya?

Accelerating quickly uses significantly more fuel than a gentle acceleration.

When you accelerate quickly, you demand more torque at lower engine speeds. The extra power is supplied by greater amounts of air and fuel, which uses more gas to travel the same distance than a gentle start does. In addition, a quick start tends to keep the vehicle in a lower gear longer (if you have an automatic transmission) and push it in higher engine speeds in those lower gears. This uses even more fuel and can cause damage to valves if done repeatedly.

    Save the planet, slow down.

  4. Well from a stop if you romp down on the gas your rpms wind out more(using more gas) than if you were to not romp down on it

  5. To get the best mileage, place an egg between your foot and the go pedal. When you learn how to drive without breaking the egg, you'll get the BEST gas mileage.
