  1. I don't know. It would be really strange. It would taste really bad. It's also probably hard to swim through, it might be denser, and harder to swim in.

  2. my dad has a part salt water pool and it really doesnt taste like the ocean or really bad u get used to it but it's not as strong as the ocean plus it doesnt dry out ur skin like chlorine and it makes ur skin softer, i definately think half salt pools are better than full chlorine pools hope this helped!

  3. Yes. Great sanitizing systems. Easier on skin and eyes than traditionally chlorinated pools, even though...a salt pool is still a chlorine pool. Just a lower dose. The units take salt that's dissolved  in the pool water and electrochemically, turn it into chlorine...which happens to be another form of salt. That chlorine oxidizes an organic (a little nasty like algae or a germ) and turns back to normal salt again. Then the entire process repeats itself. That's why they are so cheap to run and not many other chemicals are ever needed to keep a salt pool healthy. The only drawback is that they are expensive to buy initially but they save enough money when running to pay for themselves in a couple of seasons and after that it's ALL savings.

Because you're not having to add much in the way of other chemicals ( everything you add to water changes your  water's chemistry), your water balance also tends to stay pretty stable, meaning even LESS money needed to keep the pool clear.

    All in all, excellent systems.

Just a side note here: You can't taste the salt unless you're taste buds are extremely sensitive. The water's salinity is only 1/300th that of a human tear, in the 2500-3400 ppm range and you don't float any differently. It's just not salty enough.

  4. They're harder to keep clean.
