  1. volleyball camp teaches you the fundamentals so dont worry about

  2. volley ball can be played in many diferent ways,

each side has 6 players that can only touch the ball 3 times.

that means no one can double hit.

go to the camp and learn more,

thats what the camp is for.

    have fun !

    volleyball is a great sport(:

  3. try to be confident. don't expect to be perfect the first time. but here are some tips.

    passing

start by standing with your feet shoulder length apart, knees bent, and on the balls of your feet. you should be low enough to be able to shuffle under the net without bending over. keep your back straight, and your arms out and palms up. be ready to put your platform together quickly, or use your hands to pass the ball if it comes high. be ready to move, dive or roll if you have to. never be afraid of the ball, it can't hurt you that bad. it the ball is hit softly, use your legs to push the ball, not your arms to swing at the ball. watch the hitter and try to figure out where they are going to hit before they hit.

    setting

start in a similar position to passing, except you don't want to be that low, you should be standing with your legs bent. have your arms above your forehead and your thumbs and pointers making a triangle. catch the ball, then as soon as you touch it push out, and use your legs to push the ball out. point your hands where you want to set, and be sure to point your hips too, or else you'll make a bad set.

    hitting

start around the ten foot line about five feet off the court. take an approach (left-right-left) to where the set will be, while swinging your arms back, then up when you jump. bring your right arm back and point to the ball with your left hand. then swing on top of the ball and snap your wrist to add top spin. land on both feet, and get ready to block if necessary. leave for your approach when the ball reaches the peak of the set, and have a quick approach.

    serving

start with your left foot forward in the middle of the back line. hold the ball in your left hand away from your body. toss it about 4 feet up, step with your left foot, then swing and hit the ball with your palm so it will knuckle.

keep practicing these easy techniques and you will get better quickly. have fun at your camp.

  4. learn how to bump, set , hit, and serve the ball!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

thats all i can tell ya.........................................

  5. well at vball camp they mostly teach you the basics but ill help describe how to do some of the basic techniques:

bumping: clasp ur hands together and hit the ball with the flat portion of ur arm. bend ur knees and tap up.

setting: wait until the ball is directly above ur head (almost touching ur forehead) and make a triangle/diamond shape figure with ur hands (thumb to thumb and forfinger to forefinger touching making kind of two "claws" with ur hands) then with ball coming in contact with ur fingertips, "swing" ur hands out which will allow the ball to be "set" up in the air for a spike

spiking: with an approach (two step: right foot, left foot, both feet together, then jump and swing) make sure the ball is at its peak when you do ur approach. then when you jump up, hit the ball with an OPEN hand and smack down on the other side of the net as hard as you can (push ups help improve ur spikes)

hope this helps and have fun at volleyball campp!

p.s. make sure you have knee pads for sprawls and be prepared for some bruises!!

  6. Well there are six players. Usually two hitters, one setter and three people in defense. The person in the right back is the server. You are not allowed to put to much spin on a ball during a set and normally a volleyball net will have antennas and if the ball hits or goes outside of the antenna it is out. The basic skills are passing, setting, serving and hitting. You should learn how to do an approach to the net as well. You have to serve behind the outerboundary in the back but you can serve anywhere along the back line as long as you're foot does not pass the line. Also after the referee blows his whistle you have about 10 seconds before serving the ball. Also you are not allowed to overlap formations until after the server makes contact with the ball. There are six zones. Well those are the basic rules.
