  1. I don't know of any state where shotguns aren't allowed, however a 12 gauge might be required some places, and as you point out in a defacto way, some states might require slugs. As you are on the net because you are here, you can type "Fish and Game Dept/ Oklahoma/ game regs" in your browser and do a bit of computer hunting yourself. Given the short range of shotguns working out for your sphere of hunting, may I suggest the challenge of handgun hunting? Google "Handgun Hunters International". Regards, Larry.

  3. Buckhot is not allowed in Illinois. Only slugs from 20 gauge up. .410 slugs are not allowed nor 28 gauge.

  5. TN does not allow buckshot for deer - there may be a few small local areas where it is required but statewide - buckshot is not allowed
