I've had the best luck with www.Dreamhorse.com

This site is easy to navigate, easy to look at, the advanced search gives you lots and lots of criteria to choose from, and most horses are listed through this site.  There are lots of different searches to choose from as well, like breed/state search, etc.

Also look in your local tack stores - they probably have free horse magazines with classified ads in the back.

Also, make sure you bring  your trainer and/or an experienced horse eprson with you when you try a horse out.They may notice some falts or behaviour issues you may not. Whatch out because some calm h**e may also be drugged...that is why it is best to try a horse out more then once, and if possible see if you can keep them at you barn/house for a week or two to test the horse out...

post an ad on a horse site. or check out www.horsechannel.com and go to the breeders page. it is more expensive but if you need a well broke horse that you might have to pay a little more.

They have better horses and what price range im looking for.

Suggestions when buying a horse bring someone that either sells horses,vet, or someone that can help you make a best choice on buying a horse. Ask if the horse is up  to date on shots,coggins,and etc. or it will be your job to do when you buy the horse. Make sure to ask if the horse need any meds. cause trust me dont get a horse that needs meds cause it will be a costy bill in the long run.

Lastly, Look up a breed with the kinda personality and ride you would like.
