I am looking for information on the types of programs that are being used and the skills that most disabled children are capable of learning. Example: life skills and job skills for mentaly and physicaly disabled.

  2. This site has been called the largest resource site with solutions for special ed, troubled, challenged, disabled, and problem children and youth. It is Youth Change, Your Problem Student Problem-Solver. Sounds perfect, doesn't it. It has free Live Expert Help, free magazine, free sample interventions, plus books, posters, workshops and much more. It is a massive site with hundreds of articles, all packed with solutions for specific disabilities. Here is a good starting place: http://www.youthchg.com

  3. www.childrensdisabilities.info

  4. I would try the National Association for School Psychologists site: (www.nasponline.org)--just look under resources for parents or check out the site map--they have a ton of information about a variety of topics and it is all reputable and peer-reviewed. Also the American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities has a useful site (http://www.aamr.org/index.shtml) with equally relevant material. I hope this helps.
