  1. keep the project neat, and make transitions smooth, effects make sence/

  2. done this at school. make it look natural. don't use big obvious transitions and act natural infront of the camera and don't look at the camera. hope this helps

  3. What you want to do when recording volleyball video is to get a good angle, either length of the court, or behind the endline. You want to see the entire court and about 4 to 5 feet to each side. For either view, you do not want to pan like a tennis match. Keep the camera still.

For length of court (from the sideline):

You want to almost be on the net, but not quite. Also, tape on the opposite side of the up official. You will see more action on the net that way instead of a person blocking you. You need abut 4 to 5 feet of viewable space on either side of the court, for servers.

For direct view (behind the endline):

You want to see all players and about 10 feet above the net. You don't want sets to disappear above the viewable area. You also want about 4 to 5 feet outside the sidelines because Outside Hitters tend to start from outside the sideline in their approach. You want to see this and so do they, or else an poor approaches will not be corrected with video analysis. A good thing about adding some space is also to see the bench and coaches reactions.

For either view, make sure you get some shots of  the scoreboard every so often, just swivel the tripod during a substitution or something, you can always edit out the blur later and create a cut scene. As the game goes on, look at the score board more to create drama.

Some of these tips should help you create a pretty nice volleyball video. I hope that helps.

Yes, I realize you probably put this in the totally wrong section, but I figured someone else might get something out of my work. If you meant volleyball movie making, then great.
