We would love to be able to go and investagate old B&B's, INN's & Houses. but we need to know how to start a group first and then how to get places/people to let us investagate.

Any ideas?

  1. make a video, post it on youtube, and send it to the world.put your e mail adress and then they will e mail you when they need you.

  2. If there is one near you - join it, then learn the ropes.

All you need is basic pen and paper, a nursery digital thermometer, a camera (for basic layout) a reasonable EMF meter, and maybe a couple of old digital dictaphones.

Look online at other groups, and see what the general rules are.

Above all, be nice, don't drink, and be professional - otherwise you may mess stuff up for following groups.

Try posting Ads in papers for a free visit if people think things go bump - and offer to do some historical research on the property in return  - real s****. doo stuff !

  3. Put an ad in one of the paranormal magazines of papers and you might get a good group together.  I have done a few investigations, myself.  You will have to make sure the place you are investigating knows you are serious and professional or at least act like it.  It might impress them and might let you investigate their place.  Ask a lot of questions about their haunts so they know you are serious and know what you are doing.  Good luck!

  4. Yes, several as I have done so in three different cities.

Feel free to contact me to discuss details.

  5. Paranormal investing?  Do you mean you want people to invest in things paranormal or that you are an investment group that will use paranormal means to arrive at your investment strategy?

The investment world relies on stability and sound fundamentals.  Although there are people out there that will pour money into just about anything, a conservative consideration of your proposal leads me to believe it wouldn't work.

  6. whoa i have no idea how to but jkudos on starting one it sounds awesome!

  7. Woah baby. I mean like, Woah-oh-oh-oh. Baaaaaaaby. Oh!

  8. A lot of my team met each other through meet ups set up through meetup.com.

Several of them were part of another team that started the meet ups once a month in order to just kinda hang out with people in the area that are interested in the paranormal.

I met members of my first team through this (we later broke apart due to our team leader moving and difference of opinions) and other members from the team that started meet up broke away.  We were all friends through the community and eventually made our own team.

This isn't always the best way for everybody, but it is a good way to meet other people you wouldn't normally in a public setting under a control situation.

Also, once you do find people to investigate with, get permission from the places you intend to investigate.  It might be kinda hard to get people to agree, and you really gotta turn on the charm sometimes.  But do it legal and keep up your credibility.  It will get you more investigations and also not keep others from investigating areas you've been through.

  9. OK first make cool T-shirts with your logo

Go to a haunted Inn (Oh yea if you want people then put up posters)

Bring your own camera set it up or investigate then send it to sites like

    http://www.angelsghosts.com/submit_ghost...

    or

    You tube

And there you got it your own group

    ^^ GL

To get people just stay a night at a INN don't tell them

Secret and investigate but you have to pay

Or contact the owners of the house

T-Shirts make you look like pro's

    GL

Better chance of getting in with gear and stuff

  10. The first thing to do is to sit down and draw up a set of rules to follow within the group and during an investigation.  Start small.       Once you have gotten a small group( you can start with as few as 2 people) together, start going to public places.  Cemeteries, Old military installations places like that are good to start with.  Go in the daytime when most of these places are open and no one would mind that you are there.  Take pictures, use your recording equipment.  Later you might want to return to these places at night, but always get permission to be there first.  You might want to speak to owners of Inns and B&Bs (especially if they are the sight of a well known haunting) to see how they would welcome your group.  If you have a friend that works in law enforcement, ask them if they have ever been told of any haunted locations in your area.  Don't be disapointed if no one takes you up on your group for a while.  Depending on where you live, it might not be well received.  Advertise if at all possible.  If you put a small tag advertising your group on the front of your vehicle or hand out a few business cards in good places and you will be surprised how often someone will contact you.  Those are just a few ways.  But I caution you to be ready before you put your group out there.....it is your reputation.
