Dose being a musician or actor usually mean you have to be famous?

I mean really? Why are actors or musicans famous? Wait the answer is obvious, they distribute their albums and movies to the masses but nessessary dose being a great mean fame? Cause I always wanted to be famous and I love music, but if I did become a really good musican dose that mean you have to have fame too? I'm taking my first guitar lessons monday and I'm begining to wonder...lol, not saying that I'll be an anybody but you know, theres a .0000000001 chance!

99.9% of musicians and actors are not "famous".  or every sucessful band, there's hundreds more that play to 5 people in some local club

Actors and musicians are famous because people begin to like them and follow them which is of course "fame". Fame isnt always positive though, you be famous for making an *** out of yourself, either way its upto you what image you give off. You dont have to be famous but its normally the outcome if you plan to sell records "depending" if your good or not and if people like your music. Actors however, they are put in mainstream films and their performance and style determines whether they are liked, and since movies are widley broadcasted, it is very hard to escape fame when your an actor. the best thing to do if you want to avoid fame is act in low budget movies or do theatre....Since yourt learning guitar, if you get into a band that becomes very successful, it is normally the vocalist and guitarist who are most noticed in a band. If you are going solo, then refer to the top ^^ Good Luck whatever you do.

Btw, never say you wont become anybody, people never try to be famous because they see it as impossible. You believe in yourself and know that YOU will live YOUR life however you want. You want to be famous? Put your mind to it, work hard and you will be.

By no means do you need fame. I know plenty of musicians and actors that aren't famous, but have a very successful career.

If your sole purpose for being a musician is to be famous... then you will FAIL miserably... The FAMOUS musicians are people who would play for free and can not imagine doing anything else... and just happen to make it big.. but it takes more dedication and personal discipline to play an instrument well than just a desire to be famous.

I've been a professional musician for over 50 YEARS and I have NEVER been famous... but I have been around a lot of people who ARE or WERE famous... and that's been fun too.
