I think "gender" is psychological and s*x is biological.  

But, for most people, the answer is no.  It doesn't matter what's on the "inside".  The human race is so utterly superficial it makes baby Jesus cry.

But, this isn't a secret, you should probably already know this by now.

Gender doesn't matter as long as you're attracted to the person. There are no rules for falling in love.

However, let's be realistic on your second question. For most people, the outside and the inside does matter. If you are not physically attracted to the person, it's hard to develop a long term relationship. You need both to have a healthy relationship and happy!

s*x is your biological male vs. female.  Gender is your role, feminine/masculine.  Androgyny is having the positive attributes of both feminine/masculine...e.g. caring, nurturing, strong, assertive, hard working, etc.....so yes, it's what's on the inside that counts.
