  1. most of the surfs in japan are fun wave. if you've been surfin in Hawaii,Bali or other places. youll be disappointed.

    but Ill assure you this, If you could catch the best timing you wont believe your eyes.

    Japans an Island, theres still lots of hidden breaks

    you could start by Chiba Onjyuku and Taito.  If you want to surf Torami and Shidasita becareful of the locals some of the pro's are born there.

    If you go south to Shikoku area youll find the best surfs in a little village called Nakamura city theres more than 10 spots , the place is secretive but the people are nice there.

  3. The Chiba coast east of the Tokyo metropolitan area is accessible to literally millions of Japanese surfers, and "Shida" as it is known, is one of the most popular surfing areas in the country.  There's Shidashita Beach, Torami Beach, Hebara Beach, and Malibu.  

    In Central Japan, there's Sendai Shinko, Kitaizumi, Kamakura, Nishihama, Tsujido, Shonan, Shirahama, Habushi Beach, Irago, and hacchou-Hama.  

    In the Southern part of Japan, You've got Kudaka-jima, Kaifu Rivermouth, Futamigaura, Kisakihama, OceanDome (featured on Kelly Slater Pro Surfer video game), Uhiumi, Aoshima Island, Tanegashima, Cape Zampa, and Sunabe Seawall.  

    Those are from surfline.  Wannasurf lists over 100 spots for Japan.
