  1. Everything when adopting is a factor so I am gonna say yes.  I just don't know the amount of money you need to have on a monthly income.  I adopted my son and they put my husband and I threw the ringer.  We found that an adoption agency that is state funded is cheaper and a little less stress full they still have a monthly income to meet but it is not as high and they are very helpful.. Hope this helps and good luck

  2. Programs are specific to the state you are in.  Most adoption agencies only look to see that you are financially stable.  A person making 30,000 can be financially stable just as much as someone making 6 figures.  It also depends on what type of adoption they are thinking about.  If they plan on getting an older child then it's not as much of a concern.  Financial stability includes employment, life insurance, savings, etc.

  3. Adoption is very diverse, there are many different agencies with different requirements.  Most have age cut offs and income and credit rating requirements.  I am an adopted parent and each of my children, some through private adoption and others through public agencies: Child Protective Services.  If your parents are truly interested they need to do the research themselves, their are many decisions to make.

  4. Usually older adoptions go through your individual state foster care program or private adoption.  Income requirements would be dependent on any regulations your state may have.  However, those types of requirements also vary from agency to agency.  Using the foster care/adopt program through your state is not as expensive and I am unsure if they have any type of income requirements.  However, I would recommend contacting your local foster care agency or an adoptive agency to learn more.

  5. We had to submit a monthly budget to see if we had enough to pay for raising a child after all bills were paid. There was no set amount required.

  6. yes it matters a lot how much money you have, been there done that, my parents were foster parents, my mom had three babies at one time, i couldn't wait to get home from school, i guess i had the mother instint too.  i loved them  they were all from different parents and they were all great, it was a house of love all the way around, but one day i came home and they were gone. it hurt  i have never hurt so bad as that day, are they worth it yes!!!have i forgotten them them , no!!! we had three more at different times and i loved everyone of them, please give them a home, but yes it matters very much if you have a lot of money, and a big enough house, a private bed room for each baby or child,  you really need roller skates in that situation, but it is worth it good luck and help a child

  7. State specific

  8. Yes it matters.

  9. $92,000 is a good amount if there is just you and your parents and you are not living in a very expensive place (like New York City). China for example wants $10,000 income for each person in the family including the adopted child.

  10. of course income matters when considering adoption. The amount could vary depending on what part of the country. If a person is living paycheck to paycheck and not saving anything it would be very hard to adopt.
