Unfair advantage? Great cars in the back with maybe not so good up front. Drivers like Said not making it.

I think its time to think of moving quals to next day than go to points if still rained out.

  1. I don't like it for the opposit reason...all the good ones are up in front. There are great road racers (ie Robby Gordon) starting way in back when quite possibly if he qualified he would be up front.  Elliot Sadler too.

I would rather they qualified on speed.

  2. yes, with rained out qualifying, you got all the present chase contenders up front , it is not fair to the driver who is lower in points

having to start in the back and it is unfair to those who have to qualify

on time because they wont race. I also agree that it should be postponed til the next day when it is sunny.

  3. I think it kinda makes it a little more exciting. You know Ambrose is going to move forward. He had one of the fastest cars in practice and he's starting last. And yes it's bad when single car teams that don't have the money to run every weekend don't even get the chance to make it. Like I have said before, these Nascar officials know if it's going to rain, so they can tweak things to get qualifying in.

  4. Let the team put on rain tires if they want to try to qualify.   Otherwise use your top 35 to get in or a provisional.

All in favor of disolving weather related cautions.  Let the teams use rain tires, snow tires, slicks ... let the team decide what they need to race...

  5. Hey, those are the rules and everyone plays by the same ones. No advantage except that those who are consistent reap the benefit. Are you proposing a change for fairness for ALL drivers, or just for the weak teams and the "Ringers" who show up for road courses?

  6. Said is driving the #45 for Kyle Petty today.

I agree. It changes the entire perspective for a road course race for sure.

  7. how else would you do it

if them cars was so great they would be farther up in points

  8. It is not unheard of that drivers sent back to last position or even a lap behind during the race earn the checkered flag.  Also since rain enters as an element during the race before it is called, is it really all that unfair?  Good gawd, ppl, y'all want pc conditions to invade NASCAR?
