Dose the earth have a carrying capacity for humans? If so how many humans could live here?

I wouldn't worry too much about overcrowding the earth at this point.

The present population of the earth is 6.684 billion people(more or less)

The area of the state of Texas is 167,550,080 acres.

So everyone could be put into the state of Texas on a plot of land = 0.0251 acres = 1093 square feet, which is about the size of a decent apartment.

The rest of the world would be vacant.

If the present population is 6.684 billion people, and the average age expectancy, worldwide, is 66.7 years, then 100, 210,000 people are going to be dying every year, or about 275, 000 people per day.

Just like any other species, Humans are limited by the availability of resources such as food and clean water. Population will grow to these ecological limits. Scientific agricultural methods and infrastructure are continually raising the the supply so at this point it isn't known how many people can be supported.

Its hard to estimate as its no in any way to do with the size of land as it can be modified and some places are uninhabital what matters is the reasources to survive on ie food & clean water. remember we rely on the plants second after the sun and we will be in competion with other animals and certain ones we will put to extinction we would put ones who relied on them too so we could loose many of our meat supplies also we would be consuming alot of plants and also putting many animals to extinction etc its all to do with the resources others the skys the limit to how many people can live on earth.

Science in the future will be able to clone animals and plants so I guess our population will continue to grow to an unknown number if we are able to do that but then youll have to have a reliable non polluting source of energy too which science will find by then otherwise well put ourselfs and alot of life into extinction in the process
