no cridicism(sp) please this is a theory it dose not have to be true its a thought i think this because mars dose have a history of life and is mutch older than earth and is barren.also has masive storm systems..................and earth is having massive drouts....take a look at the great deserts..........and we also have some massive storm systems............so what do you think????

  1. No not yet. The reason Mars is in the condition it is in today is because of its lack of gravity, its lack of distance from the sun and its lack of tidal action. And besides, Mars is the same age as the earth!

  2. I'm really not entirely sure what your trying to ask in this question. All the planets were created around the same time... its not like Mars has been around a whole lot longer than Earth.

I don't think that all terrestrial planets go through the same geological processes in any way. There are too many variables... Mars is smaller than Earth.... Earth is closer to the sun.... Earth has a higher temperature than Mars... there are just too many variables to compare the two in terms of a geological process.

We can't compare weather systems because the atmosphere is a lot thinner than Earth's.  Mars isn't hot enough to have liquid water, much less hot enough to have the water evaporate.

  3. mars doesn't have a magnetosphere so it's baked in radiation. so only if the core stops churning.

  4. No.  Mars is so small that has lost almost all its atmosphere (if it had any to begin with):

    Carbon dioxide 95.32%

    Nitrogen 2.7%

    Argon 1.6%

    Oxygen 0.13%

    Carbon monoxide 0.07%

    Water vapor 0.03%

Earth, being so much heavier and more dense than Mars, has yet to lose all its helium, let alone water .
