Im a transfer student from a local CC in california and would like to transfer to sdsu. I want to pursue a double major in computer science and psychology, all my prereqs for psychology are done but im still behind on the math for the cs major and it looks like i need 3 more semesters of a math class and a programming class at the jc level. My question is can I still transfer with the psychology major while im still doing the computer science prereqs at a cc. Can I do both at once?

  1. You should be able to do that.

Start off transferring as Psychology major.

Taking any classes you need at the local community college is a wise move for financial reasons.

You should go seek out the advice of the head of the CS department.

This will let them know your intentions so you don't get pigeon holed as a psych major asking computer classes.  They also may have some advice as to which JC best prepares you for the SDSU curriculum.
