Despite missing Wednesday’s training session at France’s Kircha training base in Donetsk, both players have made rapid progress and are expected to be in Laurent Blanc’s starting line-up for their quarter-final encounter with reigning champions Spain on
Saturday.
According to reports, Ribery injured his left foot during a training session and the winger was rushed back to the team hotel. While Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri, took a knock to his knee in the 2-0 defeat to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sweden-c3015.
The absence of the duo has been a cause of concern for team-http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899. However, according to France assistant coach Alain Boghossian, both players have recovered from their respective injuries and should be available for the mouth-watering clash with the defending
champions.
While talking to reporters, Boghossian revealed that the French players are suffering from fatigue and it is difficult for the players to train every day in such weather. On a question regarding Nasri and Ribery, the Frenchman claimed that they have done
well and will start training soon.
"They're doing very well," Boghossian told reporters.
"The day after a match, there's fatigue and it's always difficult. They missed training yesterday to look after some little niggles. Everyone will definitely be able to participate this afternoon."
Boghossian also played down reports of disharmony in the French squad and labelled the dressing-room spat that occurred following their 2-0 loss to Sweden, as normal.
"There were words spoken but it was the normal exchanges you get in a changing room. It would have been worse if there had been nothing.”
The Frenchman believes that arguments occur in every team and media is just exaggerating the story. Boghossian stated the best thing is that the team has qualified for the quarter-finals and players are solely focusing on their next game.
"We said things to each other, but just like a couple. We've qualified (for the quarter-finals), so we can bounce back."
France will face title-holders Spain in Kiev on Saturday in the 3rd semi-final of the European Championship.
