(sometimes my hip feels agrivated when i do it bt someimes i dont mean to do it) what is it? what is it caused by? i have a very high arch too. do yall know anything i can do to help strengthen it cuz im a dancer and although its pretty, it is very very hard to work with. and it comes with weakness. anything you know about it will help!!

  1. Can't help you with the double-jointed problem but maybe I could share something for the high arch.

I have a rather high arch myself and I know how difficult it is regardless of how others admire it. It is very difficult to hold it and you would feel like you are going over your arch. The only way to deal with it is to strengthen your ankles. Do rises and releves on one and both legs, on demi-pointe and full pointe. Do be careful when you are doing them on pointe. If you are not strong enough, you might hurt yourself. If you are not sure of your strength, ask your teacher.

Another tip I learned is to strengthen the arch of your feet. Wrap a resistance band around your toes, point your feet and pull the ends of the band  and pull the ends back towards your heel.

    Hope these help.
