  1. You can teach either subject, like I did, or you can wash dishes, like I do!

  2. It really depends. Hugh Hefner has degrees in psychology and creative writing, and you know where he is!

I'm mostly joking around. Do what you feel you want to. You can use them separately or together, dependin on what you want to do in your life. Maybe you only need one and a good minor.

Talk to your advisor, counselor, or someone who knows the area you want to go into.

  3. Lots of things, I'd imagine.

One that springs to mind would be work in human rights, especially internationally.

On the one hand, you have reasoning, and ethics; and on the other a grasp of how different cultures are from each other, and the effects cultural differences have on various problems.

There's also research of various kinds.

And, of course, antrhopology. That is, the degree in philosophy isn't doing you any harm, even if it doesn't "show up" in any potential job description.

Ditto with being a philosopher; having a strong grasp of anthropology can only help infom philosophy.

And then there are lots of jobs that require a college degree, but don't care much what its in.

People shouldn't always chose their majors based ONLY on prospective careers; education is a good thing, whatever one ends up doing.

Being able to think deeply and well is always a plus.

(BTW, I majored in philosophy, with an emphasis on critical thinking -- I can't express how handy it's come in all my life; my jobs were in publishing regarding educational reform. The analytical background has been invaluable.)
