Double oh oh seven or zero zero seven.?

In the James Bond movies he is referred to as double oh oh seven but O is a letter and I was just wondering should he have been called zero zero seven instead as they are all numbers?

Its probably a cultural misunderstanding since Americans say zeroes and the brits say naught although it sounds familiar it "o" plus it sounds better anyway.

I completey agree with you and I've asked people this same question and I don't get it. All I can guess it that he's supposed to be this "cool" guy and Double Oh 7 just sounds alot cooler than Double Zero 7.

They say "double oh seven" even if they are zero's because many people refer to zero as oh.

I think you're just being a little two knitpicky here.  Everyone refers to him as "Double Oh 7".  Just go with it.  It will give you less stress to not sweat the small stuff.
