i have two windows in my house that have been pushed out during strong storms.the whole bottom part of the window came out and hit the floor (luckily didnt break) in my kitchen.it wouldnt go back in securely so i used pieces of cardboard and wedged them along the sides when i pushed it back in.now today (about 6 months later) another window has done the same thing during strong winds.all the windows in my house are basically constructed the same, and none of them seemed loose before they get knocked out,but after coming out they will not stay in without wedging cardboard in beside the frame.needless to say i cant open these two windows.is there a right way to fix these that will not cost a lot of money? i didnt see any pieces that appeared to break off but i dont know a lot about windows either

  1. Go to a hardware store. Buy these things called 'screws'. Ask them how they work. You may want to buy a 'drill' to make it easier to install them.

Whoever built your house did a $#!7 job of it.
