Double standards??..Did Johnathan Thurston get off easy??

Question

In spite of others receiving worse for similar and/or sometimes less dangerous tackles, does Johno deserve to be playing this weekend?..Deserve?..Yes..Fair sentence?..Debatable..Refer to those that have been penalised that missed out on important games/matches..I'm not a statistician, but I'm sure there are a few..The 'Thurston Clause' may have set a new precedent in how future players deal with judiciary hearings..If you ask me, the game needs to do a better job on reducing player suspensions..No-one plays dirty deliberately..League is a tough game and accidents are bound to happen..Refs need to distinguish what is blatant and what is not..If anything, 10 in the bin is suffice with a Red to follow if needed..What they need to keep an eye on is the 'Soccer-Type-Dives' creeping into the game..League's no place for tossers, so all those feigning injury and what not to benefit their team need to go play Union.

The AFL do the same thing at finals time. If it was the middle of the year he would have been suspended. Are you glad he is playing? Yes. Is everyone glad he is playing? I think the answer is the same. The judiciary made the right decision.

Food for thought..What if , Wairangi  Koopu had tackled Jonathon Thurston like that........?, can you imagine his penalty ?....it would be weeks on the sideline....The NRL officials are a bunch of  F....Wits.

No wonder Aussie Rules is so popular.

The NRL DEFINITLEY favours some players and some teams over others!!!!

If someone else would have done that exact tackle you would see them on the sideline for weeks....

They let him off just because he is Jonathon Thurston and without him the cwoboys wouldnt be able to win- How sad (not). Its not just the nrl favouring some players over others its about favouring teams over others if it had been the rabbits player doing the exact same tackle and they were still in the finals it would of been bye bye player and "They were going to lose anyway".

He got off way too eaasy!! he shuda been sidelined for this game and even the october 14th test! in round 25 sonny bill williams got banned for 1 game after a late hit on thurston that was no wea near as bad as what thurston done on koopu and if sbw ddnt miss the 1st week of the playoffs the situation could have been alot different the bulldogs could have won so that 1 week ban on sonny could have cost them their season hmmm strange that a kiwi doing a late hit on thurston got banned but yet when thurston dropped a kiwi on his heaad nothing happend???
