Double standards/sexism, it seems to me that feminists are oblivious to their own double standards/chauvinism?

Will this always be the case or do you think that the radical feminists who subtly direct mainstream feminist thinking will point this out to you?

  1. Not oblivious.  The 'radical feminists' are actually hate-filled misandrists who are aiming for female supremacy.  They are much the same as misogynists, really.  But there are only 10% who are like that.  The rest of us are moderates.  I have never been discriminated against on the basis of my gender- I see no need to fight for rights I already have- Just the need to make sure we keep those rights.  There are double-standards, hopefully they will disappear in time.

  2. Short answer....feminist aware there are double standards.

There are many that go against men.  Not all are the fault of feminism.  Many come from lingering traditional ideas, like the man pays for all the dates.  So women today have both of the advantages of feminist ideas and traditional ones.  For example...Alimony...kinda goes against the basic concept that women should be able to take care of themselves.  however some women are still living in traditional roles, and dropping careers for the husband and kids.  In the case of divorce, many traditional women would be snit out of luck with out it.

long answer: I'm making short could list the double standards and address them.  We have done this in the past...one at a time.  Some feminist agree something needs to be change 100%(fathers rights), others feminist can see where there is a problem but a solution isnt available(abortion), others men are just going to have to deal with...(I cant have a peter you cant carry a kid).  Do we have to fight over it?
