Question:

Double vision in one eye with contact?

I am blind in my left eye due to a cataract that I am soon going in for surgery to fix, my doctor told me I would need a contact in my right eye.

I got the contact and started having double vision in that eye, even when the left eye is covered. I only have the double vision when the contact is on and not with glasses or with neither. Any ideas?

  1. If that doctor doesn't know, then go to another optometrist who has a brain. Since you have a double vision only with the contact on, it's obvious the contact lens is the problem and it's the wrong curvature. You need to get properly fitted, then the problem will go away.
