Doug Bollinger eager to be back in Test cricket – Cricket News Update
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/DE-Bollinger-c1348 has claimed that he is fully fit and eager to play Test cricket. His last game in this format came back in December, 2010.
The left-arm bowler has not been the fittest of the Aussie bowlers and because of that; the selectors have not shown faith in him, especially in the longest version of the game.
However, Bollinger believes things have changed for him now, as there are no injury concerns at the moment.
The 30-year-old stated, “I'm getting back to where I want to be. I feel fit and ready to go. Test cricket hasn't left my mind and I'm ready to go if they want me. I still think I've got heaps to give. I will do anything I can do to get back in the team.
I'd love to be there for the Boxing Day Test.”
Australia are scheduled to host four Test matches against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750, starting from Monday, December 26, 2011 and the team has not been announced as yet.
The batting line up is pretty much certain, as the Kangaroos will not be making too many changes. Injured all-rounder http://www.senore.com/Cricket/SR-Watson-c2558 will return to the side to replace Phil Hughes, who has been struggling with the bat.
On the other hand, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Usman-Khawaja-c2729 will be omitted from the playing eleven.
The rest of the batting line is likely to remain unchanged after Australia’s coach http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MEK-Hussey-c1942 will be a part of the Test series against the Men in Blue.
However, the bowling line up is yet to be finalised and Bollinger hopes he will be considered by the national selectors.
The aggressive pacer said, “They (the national selectors) know what I can do and I know I've been bowling well. I don't feel like they have forgotten me. I'll be ready to go whenever they need me. It'd be good to get some India wickets under my belt.”
Bollinger will be a part of one of the practice games against India and will be eying to make an impression before the final squad is announced.
