Australia’s talented pacer, Doug Bollinger, is h**l-bent to rejoin his national Test squad which is set to face India in a 4-Test home series, starting from December 26.
The bowler claims that he is ready to do everything in a bid to build up a promising Test career which will not suffer breaks and intervals.
As some Oz selectors and fans are concerned over the speedster’s fitness, he asserts that his mind is quite clear and body completely ready to play 5-day games. He is confident that the national selectors have not forgotten him, and he is still a strong
prospect for the side.
Talking to the media today, Bollinger said, “I'm getting back to where I want to be. I feel fit and ready to go. Test cricket hasn't left my mind and I'm ready to go if they want me. The national selectors know what I can do and I know I've been bowling
well. I don't feel like they have forgotten me.
He further told, “I will do anything I can to get back in the team. I'd love to be there for the Boxing Day Test. It would be good to get some India wickets under my belt. I can't change people's perceptions over his fitness but there are no worries in my
mind.”
Despite being a regular member of the ODI and T20I wings, the 30-year-old has not been able to consolidate his place in the Test unit partly due to his fitness issue and partly due to the fact that the Aussies have a number of options in their bowling department.
For the Boxing Day game, Bollinger is lined up with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/RJ-Harris-c2330 may go in Bollinger’s
favour as the selectors are short of options at this critical moment.
Bollinger’s bowling average in Test cricket has been impressive. In 12 matches, he has grabbed 50 wickets with an economy rate of 3.23 so far. He staged his Test debut in January 2009 against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 in Ashes
