The Nerazzurri right-back is set to get a two-year extension at San Siro; Inter also looking to tie Thiago Motta under a new deal amid interest from Paris Saint Germain
Reports from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 suggest that Inter Milan are set to offer wing-back, Douglas Maicon, a contract extension this week.
Maicon’s existing contract with the Nerazzurri is set to expire in June 2013, and the new deal will extend his stay at San Siro until the summer of 2015.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter are keen to offer new contracts to a number of their players in order to keep them committed at San Siro. French outfit, Paris Saint-Germain, are reportedly monitoring Maicon and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thiago-c34888
Motta, and are looking to sign the duo in the January transfer window.
Maicon has also been linked with a move to Spanish giants, Real Madrid. However, a renewed contract would strengthen the connection between the player and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567, hence putting the rumours to rest.
The Brazilian international has had a troublesome 2011/12 season so far, struggling with form and fitness. The 30-year-old has made only 11 appearances in the ongoing campaign thus far, scoring a goal in the process.
The former Monaco star made a goal-scoring return in Inter’s 2-1 win over Genoa in a Coppa Italia game recently, scoring his team’s first goal at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza to confirm to guide his side through to the quarter-finals
of the competition.
On the other hand, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thiago-Motta-c34897’s agent has refused to rule out his client’s move to PSG in the near future. Motta’s contract at San Siro also expires next year in June, and the player is keen to sign a two-year extension.
However, the player’s agent, Dario Canovi, revealed that he will only discuss a deal with PSG if Inter permit him.
The Nerazzurri are in rich vein of form of late, and have picked  up eight consecutive wins in all competitions. With Inter fighting for a treble of trophies, Claudio Ranieri will be reluctant to sell any of his prized stars during
the January window.
