Doumit: is he back?

Wow. He had a crazy day today. Man I wish for today that I had started him over Mauer.

Who should I start going forward? Who will give me more value to trade?

Mauer wasn't the first overall pick for no reason. He will be the best by the end of the season.

You could probably get something good from Doumit if you trade him now. He is a decent hitter, but don't expect a better season that Mauer.

Doumit and the pirates are bad for business.  Doumit will eventually be a rag.. He's like Soto with the Cubs.. Knock the h**l out of the ball for a month and then just kill over.  Get rid of Doumit, the pirates will finish 20 games under .500 and Doumit won't even hit .250 by the end of the season.  Freddie Sanchez for the Pirates is a prime example.  This guy hit .344 in '06 to become the N.L. batting champ (same year Mauer won the batting title for A.L.) and look at him now, hitting .240????  It's that Pirate bad luck!  Joe Mauer is a better choice in long run.. Keep him in there!

Yes, Doumit is back. Mauer is better though both as to start and as trade value.   While I have Doumit as a top 10 C Mauer is a top 3.  Trade Mauer and your most likely trading down.
