I saw an article in the newpaper how Dove are ruining the rainforest, contributing towards orangatans dying. Bearing in mind, this was published by greenpeace who can be quite radical. But Dove shampoo, deoderant and other products are the only ones that dont cause my eczema to go crazy and dont sting my skin. What shall i do? cause my slef pain and damage for the sAke of the environment???

  1. Check the ingredients on the bottle and look for other products that have the same active ingredients but are not so harmful.  I do not use Dove products because they conduct animal testing, which I oppose.  My alternative to Dove is White Rain, which is in a similar price category but more to my liking conscience-wise.  Also try products from The Body Shop or Bath and Body Shop, or go to the web site for the Physicians' Committee for Responsible Medicine and look there for other alternatives.  In the end, I'm sure you can find products that address your health and don't harm the environment.  If somehow that isn't possible, you must take care of yourself, but DO look.  I'm certain you CAN find an alternative.

  2. Don't worry about using it! If it is the only thing that won't harm your skin use it. If you are really worried about the enviorment go to a dermatoligist and they will help you get a new soap to use.

  3. If U are worried about the rain-forest ,it is doing fine. The rain forest is like a man digging on the beach . After the tide comes in u can not tell where it was. I have lived there and as hard as man tried the rain forest is still winning.

  4. this is tough question! your health is very important, so i would definitely keep using dove. you might feel guilty not helping the environment- but there are plenty of other ways to do so! dove may not be a great idea, but its not like you throw trash on the ground all of the time! you can still save the environment w/o changing your hair product. trust me! you're good to go!

  5. ok seriously do you really need them think about the kids in iraqu or africa (i know your parents probably say that all the time) they see soap and water as a blessing and they don't even get to chosse i bet there are kids that haven't even heard of garnier (wrong spelling) or dove or neutragena but they are just thankful there alive you wont know what youv'e got till its gone so you have to choose to be selfish and because your hair might get a little bit frizzie you wont help      the planet if theres no planet theres no dove you could boycott dove and get other people to too until they become enviromental friendly e-mail the company over and over till they listen good luck hope you make the right choices remember just you or 6 billion other people                  After you read it- ooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i'm sure dove isn't the only thing try neutragena they really do repenish your skin trust me

  6. i have bad eczema also but i found the only thing that worked for my were all natural products, you should go to your local natural health store and try using all natural soap right now im using honey and vitame e, and for my hair i use @mosphere tea tree oil shampoo which helps my scalp from not getting too dry. For a face moisturizer i use Elizabeth Ardene 8 hour skin protectant. ive had eczema for my whole life and this is the only thing that works for me

....And if it doesnt work.....then stick with what does!!! im jus lettin u know what worked for me
