Down Comforter???

Question

I just bought a white down comforter. My question is..do I have to put a duvet cover on it. I love the way it looks without having to put a duvet cover, etc...on it. Thanks for any advice!!

no,  you can use it as is

When you use a duvet cover the feathers will come out more!!!

~~Having a cover is not necessary but will protect it from getting skin oils on it. It's way easier to wash the cover than the comforter.  You can wash the comforter in you rmachine if it's large enough, on gently and cold water. Just be sure to add 2 or 3 clean tennis balls when drying, on low heat, it keeps the feathers fluffy. They come out beautiful. Washing takes a toll and that is the drawback. If you don't mind not getting as much time out of it, then leave it uncovered.~~

No, you can use it as is but, it won't last as long if you don't put it in a duvet cover.  The cover will protect it and keep in nicer longer.  I have 2 and cover them both. One of them I've had for over 10 years and it's still in great condition.
