  1. Gears are true controls of the speed of your vehicle. They help in increasing your speed as well as in decreasing it, safely without much  chance of skidding, as can happen with brakes.

Practise gear control, it will help you in the long run. Understanding the throttle is important...as the top contributor says.

For those who use gear less bikes, understanding the throttle is important again.

There's nothing like biking or freedom.

    Happy and safe motoring!

  2. If you're in the same situation, as you're SLOWLY letting out the clutch, if you feel the engine trying to slow you down, increase the revs (open the throttle more) to match the road speed with the engine RPMs.

  3. 1.  You should downshift PRIOR to the turn.  Shifting in a turn is bad form.

    2.  When you downshift, blip the throttle a bit to bring the revs up while the clutch is pulled in.  Then let the clutch out GENTLY to avoid jerkiness.  This takes practice so practice it out of traffic until you've mastered it.

  4. just have the brakes slightly press so they will hold the jerk that u feel. that is to make a turn not on a curve in the curve downshift before it and them use Ur body to make the turn
