  1. well, back in New York...........use to love going down to the Jersey shore...........Seaside Heights to be precise......

ahhhhhhhhh......the quarters wasted on the broadwalk.....playing the games........skee ball.........use to be a regular at Ginny and Pauls.....and then of course there was the amusement ride pier......rickety rollercoasters on an even ricketier wooden pier, jutting out over the water........the sky ride, where I would bring many a date, for the long aerial view of  the "subermine races" just off the coast.........(heh heh heh) ........  The roof top mini golf........

and then of course the FOOD.........ya couldn't POSSIBLY go down there without getting one of those DELICIOUS greasy sausage heroes, smothered in peppers and onions.

The cotton candy.......the funnel cake........ the ice cream.......

and the best part..........that Altantic surf!   Real waves!

    ahhhhhhhhhhh, those were the days.............

  2. ice cream

  3. Crane's Beach in Ipswich, but it's really crowded.  There's the Willows in Salem too, that's pretty awesome.

  4. If I was still in the area, I would be going down to Revere Beach in Massachusetts and going to Kelly's.  I'd be getting an order of their delicious fried shrimp and sitting on the wall watching the waves.

  5. I love fried dough and ice cream.  That's the best.  My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

  6. Funnel Cakes!!! Deep fried Oreos!!! Kohn's Soft Serve!!!

    hungry now....

  7. I like Rhode Island, Misquamicut beach (i am 100% positive I did not spell that right).

The waves get really big there--especially before a hurricane, it's just so exciting.

On calmer days, flying a kite with my son, browsing shops for cheap T-shirts, checking out restaurants where we will eat that night--because you just have to do it right, see!

My favorite food treats, however, are what I bring from home--a really good cheese, good bread for the cheese to go on and a nice glass of either red or white wine--I like Berenger's White Zinfindal.

My son loves the ice cream!

But I also like Groton Submarine Base which is near the ocean, because my dad used to bring me there when I was not more than 5 years old.  He would talk to friends because he was in the navy, and some of the navy guys would watch me, play catch with me with a ball, tell me about the submarines, etc.  This type of shore visit brings back memories of security and comfort and being wanted.  So this shore visit is tops on my list too!

Thanks for the mind question----summer's coming, I can't wait!
