Downloading Ares 2.0.9 is it a dangerous program plz help?

Its not my first time downloading it I was just wondering I got a new laptop and i dont want it to start running slow, cuz it seems like on my old computer everytime i download ares it started running slow is ares a safe software, not malicious or adware or anything right??

i wouldnt download it, cuz downloadin music from such application like limewire, ares kazza, makes ur pc slow, and has adware, thats the main reason i dont down load on my laptop
