Downloading murdered me

Question

I was stupid and downloaded stuff, and now Im in trouble with charter. I don't exactly know what's going to happen but I'm consirned. will they just fine us, or do worse or let it slide? I deleted everything that I downloaded.

I'm posting this for 2 reasons.

1 is that I want people to know people do watch what your doing on the computer, and 2 I need some insurance/

You won't get any "insurance" by posting this, and those who are smart enough don't get caught.

You have some bad luck if you got busted for downloading. Must have been loading like crazy. I have only heard of fines being given out but that was from someone on the net that said that. i have never persoanlly heard of someone being prosecuted for that. As long as you erased it you can just say hey.. no harm no foul.. its all deleted and I learned my lesson... its is thier burden of proof to prove that you downloaded those things and willing broke copyright laws.. my advice is play dumb.
