  4. Well depending on the weather but if you're going soon then the weather should be pretty nice it has been so far.

Anyways if its sunny go rent a bike (I recommend spokes its near stanley park on georgia st) and just go bike around Stanley Park or just walk around there. You can go visit the aquarium but it isn't anything fantastic. Enjoy the view and take pics and stuff. There is a good restaurant at stanley park called the Sequoia Grill at the Teahouse. You can go shopping around Robson street and head into Pacific Centre. And then walk around to Granville Street with some nice shops but don't go too far down to Granville as the neighborhood starts to not get as nice if you know what i mean. You go go over to Yaletown and walk along the seawall there and check out the loads of awesome restaurants there (Yaletown Shops - Starts around Hamiliton Street). If you want you can head back to the North Shore and go up Grouse Mountain and check out the awesome view and Grizzly Bears. I recommend going to Granville Island if you like because its great for families. If you have younger children or even a bit older ones its fun to check out the Kids Market for a quick look at all the toy shops. There's also great food at the Market at Granville Island. If you enjoy anime and cartoons go to the art gallery as they have a pretty cool exbhit of cartoons and anime and then video games. If you into Science and learning check out Science World good family place as well. If you want to go to the Beach go to Kitsilano Beach which has great Restaurants in the area. Or if you do do the bike riding thing then you can bike along the seawall until you reach English Bay and you can even bike to Yaletown from there. It's a nice scenic ride along the seawall and its really not too far or hard of a bike ride. Back to the North Shore idea you should go visit the Capilano Suspension Bridge or go to Lonsdale Quay. If you want to go to an amusement park go to Playland but its nothing special its like a fair but i guess you wouldn't go since you're only going for day.

Here are some recommendations for good restaurants: (I don't know the exact location so just google them :)

    -Italian Kitchen

    -Nu

-Really cheap and good sushi : Kamei Royale, Samurai

-Good Gelato : La Casa Gelato (They hav over 200 flavours !! ), Mondo Gelato and Yaletown Gelato

-Sun Sui Wah for Chinese or dim sum

    -Cactus Club

    -Starbucks :)

    -Joe Fortes

    -Joey's

  5. I take it as the operative word here is Downtown, and "Family ", ( I wish you had mentioned the mix, so I am going to assume that there are younger children in the family).

    Fair weather:

A bike ride, or walk around Stanley Park.

Swimming pool at the above park

Jericho beach, loads of people playing Volleyball.....

    Grandville Island (Food, music, playland....)

    Cruise Ship terminal and surroundings

Gas Town (Touristy, but not bad ).

    Not Fair weather:

    Well, I am blank.
