Doxylamine succinate vs diphenhydramine hcl (nyquil vs benadryl or unisom sleeptabs vs sleepgels)?

Which one works better for falling asleep with the least amount of hangover?

both are antihistamines.  They theoretically should do the same job, but for some people one works better than the other.  and only take the dose as directed, as taking more can actually make you more awake and stimulated, nevermind being tough on the liver.  im currently taking the unisom tabs until i can find a prescription med that will work better for me.  unfortunately these 2 chemicals are as strong as you can get over the counter.  try each and if they dont work, tell your doctor you are still having insomnia.  Both will give you equal hangover though because antihistamine sleep meds put you into an unhealthy sleep.

I prefer unisom Sleep gel appose to the sleep tabs, they just work better and are 50mg of diphenhydramine appose to the 25mg doxylamine. Is the doxylamine in the NyQuil? If so I have woken up with medicine head with that so I would say the sleep gels/benadryl would work the best.
