I'm 15, and want to buy some things online using a money order, but I don't know whether or not I could buy one myself, or if I'd have to have an adult do it for me. And if I can buy it myself, where would I buy it?

  1. You don't have to be a certain age. You can buy them at a bank, but they are more expensive. Most convenience stores like gas stations sell them for anywhere from $0.49- $1.00 so that would be your cheapest way to go. You simply tell the clerk the amount of money order you want, they give it to you & you pay them.

You will have to make it out to the person or company where you want to send it and on the lower right side they usually have a place where you write in your name & address.

You might want to make a copy of it just in case it gets lost in the mail or ask for delivery confirmation when sending it at the post office so you can track it to the place you sent it.
