Dr.Phil Bails out Mercades Nichols?

So i just heard that Dr.Phil Bailed out Mercades Nichols.

Does this mean shes not going to spend any years in jail?

Making bail means that the accused is allowed to remain outside jail until the period in which his/her innocence or guilt is determined. It has nothing to do with whether she would get jail if she is found guilty.

The bail money is lost if the accused runs so it creates an incentive for them to stay put or risk those who paid for his/her bail to lose out -- typically the bigger the crime, the higher the bail. In severe cases, bail can be completely denied.

Also, as others have noted, it is not Dr. Phil who bailed her out, rather, a producer of the show hoping to get her on an episode of the show. The show has since stated that plans to have an episode on Mercades Nichols have been cancelled.

I don't think so.  They beat that girl up pretty good.  Dr. Phil or his staff cross the line.  I think his show might go down the hill.  First Britney and now this.  He or the show is going too far.

No he didn't bail her out but the people who produce the show and the camera man crossed the line by trying the best they can do get these teens on the dr. phil show. YES she will be spending time in bars (hopefully).
