Is this quote from a Dr. Seuss book, or is it just something he said. Here is the quote: "Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened.”

Doesn't sound like anything from his children's writings. More likely just something he said.

Dr Seuss, wrote "Cat in the Hat" to win a bet (could be folklore, but I still like it)
