Dr. Told me I had decreased amniotic fluid?

Today, I had an ultrasound and a visit to the doctor. During my ultrasound, the technician told me I had a decrease in amniotic fluid. I am high risk due to an oblation I had last year, currently, I am 32 weeks along. It has been a really hard pregnancy, but I am determined to have this child. My baby has been monitored every 2 weeks to ensure that I don't have ucreta (I spelled it wrong). Now that my fluids are low, I am a little concerned and frightened. What can I do to increase my fluids?

  1. go see a doctor.

    it might not be serious.

by the way how does a ultra sound person know the fluid level, is there some sort of measuring stick?

  2. Drink water till you float.

  3. Push the fluids, especially water.  If you stay hydrated, you baby will stay hydrated.  Amniotic fluid is made up of baby urine, so he/she needs the fluid in their system to be able to pee it out!  So drink up!!  It is scary, but I would imagine if they didn't intervene and put you in the hospital with an IV, then they aren't overly concerned.  Hopefully, you will see improvement with you next sonogram.
