Ok this is a very small question, i've had it a few weeks and wondered are you supposed to leave the paper in the tin between the balm and sponge?

no one is going to come arrest you if you throw it away, but it does provide that little extra sanitary barrier. plus, it prevents the sponge from absorbing any product for no reason.
