  2. Vlad Tepes Dacula was indeed rumored to drin the blood of people. especially women, young, fresh suculent women. in teh throes of ecstacy.

apparraently it flowed like rivers of velvet across their necks, sweet tasting like cherries in the spring. and more envigorating that war itself.

but no solid 'proof' can be found of whether or not he was a real vampire. of course many vampires are not like the media portrays or so i hear.

  3. Dracula is s**y!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. Read the forward in the book- it will have details like that. The man's name was Vlad Tepes and he impaled people. There's no such thing as real vampires- just legends.

and duh you're creeped out! I'm reading it too haha for the 2nd time. I'm looking for gothic/romantic inspiration for my own writing (not quite so horrific, and I doubt if anything I write could ever be as great as Brahm Stoker!)

  5. He was a mass murder named Vlad the Impaler. look it up!

  6. Bram Stoker was greatly influenced by old stories about vampires and the tales of Vlad the Impaler. He (meaning Vlad) did things that seemed to be vampiric such as drinking blood of his victims, etc. If you think that's creepy, you should look up stuff about Elizabeth Bathory.

  7. well it depends if you think that he is

many books, media and people have different thoughts on what really is vampire!

but i guess that no one can really be sure unless they are one :)

if he can burn in the sun, turn into a bat, drink blood then yeah it is likely

  8. If the book frightens you, don't read it right now.  I am hoping you are reading the original Dracula by Bram Stoker, and  not a later book that creates the s**y, powerful, male answer to all dark dreams.  Stoker's Dracula makes commentary about society at the time and really continues to do so down through the ages.  In the book he is really a vampire.  Know that there really was a "Dracula" - Vlad Tepes, the impaler.  Quite a character!!  You sound very perceptive and might be a little too sensitive to read this kind of book now.

  9. The vampire legend came about in part due to Vlad Tepish (sp) but there was another noble from the same land, cannot remember her name.  She would had young women killed and drank their blood, thinking that this would keep her young.  She had over 650 women murdered.  She finally murdered another noble, that was when she was stopped and imprisoned in her own tower for the rest of her life.

  10. well in the novel hes a vampire, but in real life he was a man named Vlad Tempe. if you want to know about how the real dracula (vlad tempe) read the novel "the historian".

  11. It is believed that Vlad Tepes suffered from porphyria, a disorder which causes photosensitivity. Also, skin goes pale and gums start to shrink,  hence fangs appear larger than normal. He was a stiff ruler though he didn't drink people's blood... but this is how these stories begun!
