  1. Being a drag queen is all about attitude, baby!  You have to pay special attention to the way women walk and carry themselves- especially those who do a lot of runway work.

It is difficult for a man because 1) your center of gravity is higher, and 2) you are not trying to counterbalance your "pillows" and your "trunk junk" while walking in heels!

That's another thing... you HAVE to learn to walk in heels (a lot of women need this lesson too! lol).  Heel to toe, in a smooth motion, and not while stepping over cowpies.

As far as makeup... the technique for drag queens is VERY different than that for women... you have to learn to use the colors of foundation to bring out cheeckbones, but hide browbones (usually) and 5 o'clock shadow... bleaching cream and fake tan will be your best friend, after you learn how to use it.  You have to learn to use eyeshadow and liner to look more feminine, but not look like a guy who just got mauled at his sister's sweet sixteen party.  There is a fine balance that takes some work.  Just remember- shimmer, not glitter.

Lastly, even if you don't have a lot of meat on your chest, you can have cleavage- but finding lingerie is hard.  Try Chelsea's of London... they have fantastic, QUALITY pieces (and they can be found all over the US and Europe).  You will have to invest quite a lot of money in a decent corset that will be able to give you a good shape and that will last for more than 1 or 2 nights... I have several corsets, and the ones that cost under $50 lose their elasticity and support very quickly.  Splurge for the more expensive $150+ if you can afford it... this will be invaluable in your journey to be a queen!  It will also give you GREAT posture.  Also, learn to love stockings if you don't already!  You will have to learn to put them on without your nails tearing them... not an easy feat!

Much of this is just practice on your part, or trial and error.  The rest is attitude.  Experiment with make-up, try on some lingerie, walk everywhere and do your household chores in heels... you'll be dragging in no time!  Learn the head slide and the hand gestures, and you're well on your way to queen!

Good Luck, and HAVE FUN!  :)
