Dragon fish why the die?

i bought 3 dragon fish from wal marts and the seem to swim ok in a 10 gallon size tank but 2 days later they died they are in a same size tank at wal marts

BECAUSE THEY ARE FROM WALMART.

i bought a goldifsh from there once and it died. like 2 days later and the one  had like for a year died like 1 day later

The tank they were in are too small. They each need 10 gallons. They grow 8-10 inches long. Plus they are blind so you have to put the food right in front of them. Did you buy a heater? Was the water 78F? And it died because it came from walmart! Don't ever get fish from walmart. My brother also bought a dragon fish and it died quickly. Boycott Walmart!!!

One thing that really irks me about wal*mart is they do not give proper care information on the fish that they carry, and then the consumer buying a fish they do not know how to care for! Violet goby's or dragon goby's are a brackish water sand sifter that grows upwards of 2 feet. They are sensitive to water conditions and like higher end brackish water.  If I had to guess why the fish died....

1. starvation because you probably had gravel rather then sand

2. died from freshwater

3. died of ammonia poisoning from being in an uncycled tank

take your pick as to which one it was.
