Drain Clogged

Question

I have a Kenmore Quiet Guard Plus dish washer. The water will not drain from the unti. I believe the drian in the dish washer is pluged. I removed the 8 screws from the pump/strainer unit at the bottom of the unit

I removed the top that the screws were holding donw, but can't figre out how to get to the drain to unplug it. The center metal unit is exposed and nut head is exposed.

What do I do next to get to the drain hose to unplug it?
